This class begins with a larger thread and shuttle to teach you the basic movements. Ele will then guide you through a set of patterns chosen to teach you all of tatting’s basic skills.
This class is tailored to the needs of each student. If you do know know how to crochet, we will start at the beginning and teach you how to make a single crochet, double crochet and slip stitch with yarn and a larger hook. Once the basics are mastered, you can move on to increasingly finer yarns and threads to make crocheted lace. If you already have some skills, we will determine where the best place for you to begin will be through conversation and viewing samples of your prior work.
